1. Curling Iron Waves on the Beach
What You Will Require
- 1 ¼th inch curling iron
- Anti-heat agent
- Shampoo that is not wet.
- Clips for dividing sections
- Hairspray
How to Go About It
- Allow your hair to air dry for two days.
- To prevent your hair from heat damage, spray it with a heat protectant. Apply dry shampoo to your scalp if it tends to grow greasy.
- Make two divisions in your hair: a top area and a bottom piece. The top portion of your hair should be clipped up.
- Begin curling your hair from the back with your curling wand. To produce loose waves, wrap your hair around the wand in large chunks.
- With the barrel pointed down, point the curling iron diagonally down. This makes it easy to wrap your hair around it.
- Your hair may be rolled towards or away from your face. However, as you reach the hair closest to your face, roll it away from it.
- Curls should be scrunched towards your scalp and then released. Then, to enhance the twists, twist them in the same direction.
- Apply hairspray to your hair and mess it up to give it a loose, wavy appearance. Backcomb your hair lightly to create volume and height if it's flat on top.
2. Flat Iron Waves on the Beach
What You Will Require
- Morrocan oil Flat iron
- A dry shampoo that adds volume
- Hairspray
How to Go About It
- Begin by applying dry shampoo to your tresses. The dry shampoo provides structure and volume to your hair, preventing it from flattening due to the heat.
- Apply one pump of Moroccan oil to your hair from the center to the ends.
- Divide your hair horizontally into two pieces if you have long or thick hair. The top portion should be clipped up.
- You don't need to separate your hair into portions if you have thin hair.
- Take a tiny length of hair and wrap it around the barrel of the iron from just below the roots. Clamp the iron in place, twist it slightly, hold it for a second, and then slide it down the portion carefully.
- Curl your hair all in the same direction.
- Apply extra oil to your curls and tangle them to create waves.
3. Hot Rollers on the Beach
What You Will Require
- Hot rollers in a pack
- Clips for hair (though some hot rollers do come with hair clips)
How to Go About It
- Different sizes of rollers are included in certain bundles. Use the larger ones in front of your face. Where you want definite waves, use the lower sizes.
- Take a section of hair from the crown of your head and separate it from the rest of your hair. Wrap the hair at the front of this portion around a roller. Then secure it with a clip. Carry on with the rest of the hair in that part in the same manner.
- Gather a little bit of hair from the side and wrap it around a roller after the top part of hair is completed. Carry on with the remainder of your hair in the same manner.
- Wear the rollers for at least 25 minutes. To prevent interrupting the wave, gently remove them.
- To make the waves seem more natural, brush your hair. You can also feather out the waves by running your fingers through them.
4. Mini Buns on the Beach
What You Will Require
- Mousse
- Spin pins or elastic bands
- Pins (bobby pins)
How to Go About It
- Apply mousse to your hair after it has been washed.
- Dry your hair with a blow dryer until it is moist but not fully dry. Allow your hair to air dry if you wish to avoid using heat.
- Part your hair along the center from the front to the nape of your neck to divide it in two. One part should be clipped.
- Twist all of the hair from the opposite portion away from your face. The hair will coil up into a bun as you continue to twist it. Use a spin pin or an elastic band to secure this bun.
- In the same way, wrap the other half in a bun.
- Overnight, keep your hair in these two small buns.
- Remove the elastic band or spin pins gently the following morning. Pulling them out too quickly might twist your hair.
- To open up the waves and muss them up, run your fingers through your hair.
- If necessary, final touch-ups may be done using a curling iron.
5. A Twist on Beach Waves
What You Will Require
- Texturizing spray
- Flat iron
- Hairspray
How to Go About It
- Spray your hair with a texture spray.
- To separate your hair into two portions, part it from the front down the center to the nape of your neck.
- One portion of hair should be gathered and divided into two sub-sections.
- Individually twist each sub-section clockwise, then twist them around each other. Continue in this manner until you reach the finish.
- Clamp your flat iron over the twist for a couple of seconds. Make sure you get all the way around the twist.
- Carry on with the same procedure on the opposite side.
